AIR QUALITY OF DHAKA CITY: A CASE OF VEHICULAR POLLUTION

Air pollution is causing a serious threat to public health in most of the urban centers developing countries including Dhaka Bangladesh, which one polluted cities present world. The road users city frequently complain about headache, eye and skin irritation breathing problem. research has find out that situation expected be worsening further with increase population, economic development high influx people from rural areas urbanized Dhaka. Motor vehicle increasing at 5% per year Dhaka, significant source air pollution. paper analyzed vehicular population structure trends 1990 2000 along role different types motor this trends. analysis show 2-wheeler vehicle, car taxi 3-wheeler occupied 45, 22 12% respectively 1992; while those were 38, 26 16% 2000.
